Very good spot we got a ride very fast and the cars also had a good spot to stop… lots off traffic…..

Hard spot to go north direction Valence/Lyon. Should be quite easy to go to Nimes or direction Marsaille. I couldn't manage for my life to get anyone who was going past Nimes in my direction. Christmas days, lots of full cars and pouring rain. I gave up and got a ride into the city of Montpellier (which was easy).

Most of the cars are from Montpellier at the gas station so I moved here with a sign Nîmes.

Finally got to montpellier, the spot is good enough but not too much space for cars to stop. Very happy for reaching Montpellier before night

Very large station with lots of people stopping here. Took us 2min to have a truck driver take us to Montpellier.

Tried to get a ride to Montpellier but couldn't get any. Only one person stopped but was going to Nimes, so it didn't really help.

Tried to get a ride to Montpellier but couldn't get any. People were going to Nimes mostly. Also people told us it is the wrong side to ask for rides to Montpellier.

Great petrol station with supermarket! We wanted to get to the beach south of Montpellier and got a ride after 15 minutes. We only talked to two people who were directly willing to take us. Decided for the ones who could drop us off at the beach! Great spot!

Had a sign Nîmes/Lyon and after almost 2 hours a guy stopped that was going to Nîmes Ouest but we decided it's better for me to look for something further at Aire d'Ambrussum (the biggest between Nîmes and Montpellier), but there are really no good alternatives to go North/East from Montpellier.

Dangerous spot to stay and dangerous to access. The cars have no space to stop, I had a sign "Toulouse" , was not taken and no one stopped.

You can get hitches here into direction of Spain / Barcelona. Cars stop here, ask them for a ride while they are waiting.

was standing there for six hours, normally a good place, because there is are third way in the circulation which isn't used, but people were really unpolite.

The first car that came here, stopped. You can get a lift to the roundabout further up this road, or to a restarea on the highgway to North or South (Spain). Cars here normally travel short distance.

Too high traffic and too few spots to pull over. Waited 15min on the way to Spain, a guy took me to the toll which is way better. On the way back to Marseille I waited 1 hour and got picked up just before going crazy and taking the train. There are messages of the guardrail saying that people were waiting for 4h30 there... Better try around Prés d'Arènes!
